Student Review

If you’ve ever wondered…

  • How do I manage kids behaviour ?

  • What do I do when a child melts down, refuses to participate or disrupts the class?

  • How do I help children regulate big emotions and energy?

  • How do I make yoga classes fun, engaging and meaningful — not boring or awkward?

  • What language, guidance and cues actually work for different age groups?

  • How do I keep kids focused without forcing stillness or silence?

  • How do I design classes that fit into school settings, after-school clubs, or community spaces?

  • How do I teach safely, age-appropriately and creatively — and feel confident doing it?

You are not alone — and this training was created to answer exactly these questions and so much more.

What Makes This Online Children's Yoga Teacher Training Different?

This is not a “watch videos and tick off a checklist” course.

This training is designed as a guided learning immersion — an experience that reconnects you with creativity, play, confidence and embodied teaching, not just information.

Rather than focusing on memorising techniques, you will be guided to:

  • Experience the practices first — so learning happens in your body, not just your head

  • Reconnect with your creativity and playfulness, and learn how to bring your own personality, passions and interests into your children’s classes

  • Develop real teaching instincts by understanding how children grow, learn and regulate — so you can respond confidently in the moment, not just follow scripts

  • Apply practical strategies that actually work, drawn from over 25 years of classroom and teaching experience and continually refined in real-world settings

This training balances science-informed learning with heart-led teaching — helping you understand both what to teach and how to teach it meaningfully.

It’s intentionally designed to feel:

  • Supportive, not overwhelming

  • Playful, not rigid

  • Practical, not theoretical

  • Flexible, not stressful

You’ll move through the training with monthly guidance, live support sessions, reflection opportunities, creative practice invitations and community connection — while still being able to fit learning into your real life and family commitments.

Because cohorts are kept small, you’re not just another name on a screen. You’ll receive direct guidance, feedback and support from Laura, and become part of a connected learning community that continues beyond certification.

This isn’t an in-person training awkwardly uploaded online.
It’s a purpose-built online experience — created to help you grow, learn, reflect and teach with confidence from wherever you are in the world.

Student Review

"I didn't know what to expect from an online teacher training course, wondering if it might feel a bit remote. I couldn't have been more wrong. Laura is an inspiring and fantastic teacher.

The community and friends I have found whilst attending the zoom tutorials, has been a wonderful surprise. Everyone is so supportive of one another.

Laura is passionate about kids yoga and this is infectious. I have learnt so much, without even being aware of it. I am very grateful to have found Divine Light online and made the decision to do the course.

I will 100% be back for more".

As an experienced Early Years Educator, I’ve created this course with you in mind—parents, teachers, and educational professionals who are juggling big responsibilities and precious little time, but who care deeply about supporting the children in their lives.

This isn’t another dry, theory-heavy training packed with slides and no real-world application. Instead, this is a refreshing, interactive and uplifting experience—a live, online course that’s designed to be fun, practical, and full of heart.

You’ll be joining a supportive community of like-minded individuals, sharing stories, asking questions, and learning together in a space that feels nurturing and inspiring.

Expect hands-on learning, playful techniques, and tools you can use straight away—all while feeling connected, encouraged and re-energised in your work with children.

Many of my students say that this training becomes one of the highlights of their year—a truly positive, empowering learning experience that stays with them long after the course ends.

Student Review

"I could not have been happier with the course! Laura is so passionate and has such an extensive amount of experience in both Early Years Education and in yoga which was so evident in her teacher training.

Everything was taught openly, genuinely and completely from the heart.

I felt that she gave all her students the tools they needed to open their minds to how they approach teaching yoga to young children.

I left the training feeling confident and excited about the prospect of applying what I had learned to any situation. It wasn't just power point presentations listing different activities, it was a whole new way of looking at teaching children yoga".

Module 2: Teaching Kids Yoga - Poses, Sequencing

& Class Design

Learn how to teach yoga to children with confidence, creativity and safety

This module is where everything starts to come together.

You’ll move beyond simply knowing poses and begin learning how to actually teach yoga to children and teens in real-world settings — safely, creatively and with confidence.

Rather than memorising sequences, you’ll learn how to:

  • Adapt yoga poses for different age groups, needs and abilities

  • Teach safely while supporting growing bodies

  • Create engaging, age-appropriate sequences

  • Structure classes that hold children’s attention and work with their nervous system

  • Move confidently through transitions and group activities

Inside this module you’ll explore:

  • Yoga poses for early years, primary children and teens — what’s appropriate at each stage, what to avoid and why

  • Safety and alignment foundations — how to protect children and teens' bodies, support development and avoid common mistakes

  • Creative pose adaptations — turning traditional poses into playful, meaningful movement experiences

  • Sun salutations for children and teens — how to teach them in age-appropriate, engaging ways

  • Sequencing frameworks — how to build classes that feel balanced, purposeful and fun

  • Class structure and transitions — keeping energy flowing while maintaining calm and focus

  • Partner and group yoga strategies — building connection, cooperation and social-emotional learning

You’ll take part in:

  • Demonstration classes you experience first-hand

  • Teaching breakdowns that explain the “why” behind each part of the class - based on children's behaviour, body and brain

  • Creative sequencing challenges

  • Reflection and practice invitations to build real teaching confidence

By the end of this module, you won’t just recognise poses — you’ll know how to teach them with clarity, creativity and confidence, and begin building your own unique teaching style.

Student Review

"The experience was fantastic. As a registered psychologist, I am expected to regularly attend continuing professional development training and as such, have spent thousands of Dollars and hours in many different workshops and training - both personal and professional.

I can honestly say that the learning, the inspiration, and the community that I have made on this training has been of the most personally fulfilling of any of the training I have ever done.

The training is part theory, part experiential, part philosophical, part heart-felt, part mindful and wrapped up in a business model. Be prepared to move, dance, laugh and cry".

- Clayton, Educational Psychologist

Student Review

"Laura is one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever come across in any field and exudes tons of passion for what she does; which is evident in how she talks about and teaches this practice.

You will learn more than you may even be able to handle, but will come out of it feeling confident to teach right away, which is rare in my personal experience!

There is a lot of knowledge and insight to be shared, but be prepared to act like a complete fool! It is the most fun if you throw your full child heart into it without a care for how ridiculous you will look... and you will.. but it’s totally worth it!

Enjoy yourself and the experience for all it has to offer!"

Module 5: Teaching Pre-Teens

& Teen Well-Being

Teaching older children and teenagers requires a very different approach — one that honours their growing independence, emotional complexity and changing bodies.

  • Support emotional well-being, stress and overwhelm

  • Teach safely during periods of physical growth and body change

  • Build trust, consent and autonomy into your classes

  • Create sessions that teens actually want to participate in

Inside this module you’ll explore:

  • Teen yoga sequencing and class design — building sessions that balance movement, strength, flexibility and rest

  • Body awareness and confidence-building practices — supporting healthy relationships with the body

  • Teaching challenging poses safely — alignment, progression and injury prevention for growing bodies

  • Emotional regulation strategies for daily challenges — supporting big emotions, exam stress and social pressure

You’ll also experience:

  • Guided teen-focused practices including both challenging and restorative poses

  • Teaching demonstrations and breakdowns

  • Scenario-based learning and real-life classroom examples

  • Reflection and integration activities to build confidence working with this age group
