The resort
Paradise Resort
Koh Yao Noi, Thailand

Situated on a private bay, surrounded by tropical rainforest, overlooking limestone cliffs, this stunning resort will be our sanctuary during our retreat.

You'll have a choice of beautiful rooms nestled in the lush, green forest, with a private porch for complete serenity and relaxation.

The pool, lotus pond, private beach and forest walks, allow you to immerse yourself in natural beauty during our chill-times, where you can wander, rest in a hammock, read a book, enjoy a coconut or chai.

The Yoga
led by Laura

Expect Playful Vinyasa, Gentle Yoga Flows, Sunrise Pranayama and Sunset Restoration in our beach side, open-air yoga shala. Where possible, Laura will take the practice to the beach or lotus pond, to practice pranayama (guided breathing exercises) and meditation.

All led by Laura, founder and lead teacher of Divine Light Yoga with over 10-years yoga teaching experience and over 1200-hours of attended trainings in Vinyasa, Yoga Therapeutics, Ayurveda, Yin, Meditation, Hatha, Pre-Natal and Restorative.

All classes include long guided relaxations, hand-picked essential oils, specific music and sounds to set the mood and hands on adjustments to deepen the pose and relax your body further (all optional of course), to create a full sensory experience.

You'll have time, space and guidance to journal after each class, if you feel inspired to do so.

Each class will offer variations and be tailored towards the individuals on the retreat, so whether you're an absolute beginner, in need of prenatal guidance, working with an injury or wanting to further develop your yoga practice, Laura will be able to support and guide you throughout each class.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answered by Laura

Is it Rainy Season in Thailand in July?

As someone who travels across the world very very frequently, it is impossible to predict weather patterns these days. Last year, I spent a month in Thailand, 9-days on Koh Yao Noi during July, and I only saw only two rainstorms.

The wonderful thing about the rainstorms in South East Asia, is that they're beautiful to watch and they only last an hour or so, sometimes just a few minutes.

Ok, but what happens if it does rains?

If it rains, we will alter the schedule but there's so many things that we can do to enjoy the rain, relax our mind and body.

We can do a cooking class, an art class or more yoga!

We can relax quietly on our luxurious balconies with a cup of tea watching the rainstorm; we can talk or play a fun game (I have many) in one of the 4 restaurants onsite;  you can have a massage, enjoy the spa or go for a swim in the rain (always fun!)

When the rain stops, we'll go out on the boat, enjoy the beach and explore all that nature has to offer after the rain.

How Do I Get There?

Despite the wonderful secludedness of Koh Yao Noi, it is a really simple island to get to and I plan to make it as easy as possible for you.

The resort will pick you up (and drop you off) by taxi and then a short boat ride directly to the resort, from either Phuket Airport, Phuket Yacht Marina, Krabi Airport or Krabi Pier.

The resorts boat leaves Phuket Marina at 11am, 2pm and 4.30pm / and leaves Krabi Pier at 2pm. All boats come directly to the resort.

To get the most out of the retreat, I suggest we organise for you to take the 11am boat from Phuket to arrive at the resort before 12-noon on Day 1.

If you're arriving into Phuket the night before (17th July), you can easily take a taxi from your hotel in Phuket to Phuket Marina (known as Yacht Haven Marina) where our resort boat will pick you up at 11am.

If you would like to maximise your time on Koh Yao Noi by staying at another part of the island before or after the retreat, I can help you to arrange transport to and from the resort from other parts of the island.

VIP private transport is also available from the resort anytime between 9am-4pm from Krabi or Phuket at an additional $100usd / 3600baht per person.

Once you've booked your flight, I will fully support you to arrange the easiest and best form of transport for you.

I'm new to yoga, I haven't been to any classes before, can I still come?

Yes, absolutely! You are as welcome as anyone else on the retreat.

I've been teaching all-levels classes for 10-years, so I offer variations and modifications throughout every class. So whether you are new to yoga or a yoga teacher, you're practicing with an injury or you're pregnant, I will tailor my class to make sure that you get the most out of it, every time.

You'll leave each class feeling nourished, strong and relaxed in both mind and body, no matter what your level or experience of yoga is.

I provide a supportive and inclusive yoga space, both on and off the mat to ensure that everybody (and every body) feels confident and comfortable in every class.
